About Us

One storefront on the Town Square. Four reasons you'll stay longer than you planned.

The Story

The everything, explained

Dark Horse Brew started with a simple hunch: a lake town like Crosslake deserved one room that could do it all. So a Town Square storefront became a café, a cocktail bar, a boutique, and a salon — not four businesses sharing a wall, but one place with four ways to stay.

Mornings smell like espresso and fresh sourdough. Afternoons turn to margaritas and mojitos. In between, someone's browsing the racks while their color sets in the salon chair. That's not a gimmick — that's just how the room works.

What We're About

The Dark Horse Way

Scratch, always

The sourdough is baked here. The egg bakes come out homestyle. If it's on the plate, the kitchen made it.

Fun & bright

Dirty sodas named after canoe rides, cocktails with attitude, and a room that doesn't take itself too seriously.

Stay awhile

Velvet corners, warm light, no rush. However long you meant to stay, plan on longer.
